Scott Eaton
Managing Director
Scott founded West Core in 2007; he has over 30 years’ experience in the drilling industry, both in Australia and overseas. Scott’s focus with West Core Drilling is the safe operation of our rigs and mentoring of the drilling staff.
Scott is responsible for development of the strategic direction of West Core Drilling and fleet optimisation/renewal. His role focuses on ensuring that all our clients’ requirements are met, troubleshooting and staff development.
Sarah Eaton
Business Manager
Prior to joining West Core in 2009, Sarah had worked as an exploration geologist for over 20 years. Sarah brings a client’s perspective to West Core’s operations, ensuring that contracts are optimised to client requirements, making sure that WCD focuses strongly not just on production but quality in all aspects of the drilling process.
Sarah’s qualifications and industry affiliations include B.Sc (hons) Geology, M.Sc. Mining Geology, MCSM, MAusIMM
Zac Beddis
Business Development and Contracts Manager
Zac joined West Core as a member of our foundation drill crew. He is a seasoned industry professional who is well versed in all aspects of West Core’s operations.
His focus is providing a point of introduction to potential or current clients, providing a flexible, personalised service to all our clients.
Jeff Boyce
HSEQ Manager
Jeff has over 20 years of experience both in Australia and overseas. He brings substantial supervisory and project management experience to the company. Jeff has added health and safety management credentials to this experience and for the last few years has fulfilled the role of HSEQ manager.
His focus with WCD is working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve health and safety standards in the workplace, through risk management and behavioural safety methods.
Jeff has been integral in driving West Core’s successful accreditation to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
Caryl Bijoux
Recruitment Co-Ordinator
Caryl has a lengthy background in the drilling industry, both in operations and HR. Caryl is the first person new recruits get to know at West Core, through our initial interview and induction process, which he has developed.
Skye Richardson
Admin & Mobilisation Co-Ordinator
Skye is the go-to person for on-boarding of new staff, site access and training co-ordination. Skye’s focus is on ensuring we have the right people in the right place at the right time. Skye’s role is integral to quality and document control of the WCD management system.
Pierce Moore
Maintenance Supervisor
Pierce’s experience is as a heavy vehicle mechanic.
Pierce’s experience is as a heavy vehicle mechanic. He co-ordinates the activities of West Core’s multi-disciplinary maintenance team of mechanics, boiler makers, auto electricians and apprentices to ensure that preventative maintenance is ongoing and downtime minimised.
Ryan Hogan & Bart Eaton
Drilling Supervisors
Both Ryan and Bart have been with West Core for over 10 years. Their focus is on-site co-ordination of our drilling projects to ensure that they are undertaken in the optimum manner to produce best possible outcomes for our clients.
Their role involves hands-on mentoring of drill crew in safe operations.
